Post Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday! It was so much fun! I gotta admit I was a rebel. I wasn't gunna tell you guys but I'm no good at keeping secrets, so I already broke down and told my mom. Now I can tell y'all! I got my cartilage pierced! It kinda hurt, a lot. If I touch it too much it starts to bleed a little bit, which is kinda gross but it looks so cool(when it's not bleeding). Kinda like a pirate. haha. My mom was not to happy but she knows I can always take it out so it's not to bad.

Yesterday was just an all around good day. Classes went well, got to hang out with my friends and got pierced. I already had my dinner with my family, so I got to have like two birthdays. I feel so lucky now.

Today was so cold and rainy outside. It was icky. I honestly had no desire to do anything today. I got back from class, took a nap, a part of a novel for my composition class, and took another nap. It's just so nasty outside and my bed was warm and nice.

I did, however, get to wear my new rain coat. I noticed is had zippers in armpits. Yes, the armpits unzip so you can sweat. That's kinda gross.

My grandma called me on my birthday and she is just so damn cute. She's kinda like a kitten or a puppy. Everything she does is cuter than the last thing she did and you just gotta say awww.

I have some funny stories but I'm done for now.

Back in Oxford,

Now that I'm back in Oxford, I finally have a quiet place to write where my parents aren't judging me while I write. I/m also soo tired now because I was on the road from 7:30am to 8:30pm. It's only a nine hour drive but I had to stop several times, my dad doesn't go over the speed limit and he wanted to stop for dinner in Jackson.

My birthday is next week so my parents took me out on Friday for my birthday dinner. If you're parents ever say they will take any where you want to go out to eat, (and you're in Houston) say Vic and Anthony's. It's kinda expensive (like $35 a person) but it's the best service and best food you can get. That Friday was so perfect. First I went shopping with my mom and then I got to get dressed up to go to dinner. It was just an all around awesome day. Also, when you go to Vic an Anthony's get the strings and chips appetizer. We got it and then three tables around us got it.

I finally saw The Blind Side this weekend. It was amazing. Sandra Bullock was amazing. Go see it. Also all the stuff they said about Ole Miss is true. Including the dorm rooms and traditions. I loved it.

I am so dumb for forgetting to turn on my cable in my dorm room. So my choice this evening were Haiti coverage or the golden globes. Luckily, House come on so I was saved.

Finally, I finished my puzzle last night. Woo Whoooo!! I lost a piece of it though. OK y'all I'm getting sleepy and I have a lot of stuff to do tomorrow.

PS- The bridge over the Mississippi still scares me every time I go over it.

Awwww, Give em' a Chance

I thought I'd tell y'all about a couple of TV shows that I've fallen in love with that most people my age aren't really into. One is Two and Half Men. It's really funny and they have a lot of great jokes. It come on on Mondays at 8 but I don't know what channel. It's one of the lower channel that's easy to find. Big Bang Theory comes on after that at 7:30 and it's sooooo funny. The guys on that show are all science geeks and it reminds me of a lot of my friends from Katy, so I think they'd like it. Y'all should give them a chance.

All the poor high school kids have to go to school tomorrow so I am feeling the heat of having to go back to college. I love Ole Miss but here there's no homework and all fun here. Oh well.

I still need to do some more shopping before I go plus my family is celebrating my birthday before I go back to Oxford so maybe I'll do somethin' fun for that.

OK I'm kinda over this right now so I'm gonna go to sleep. Night y'all!

Hello, 2010!

I feel like I would be a bad blogger if I didn't do a New Year blog. Sadly, I think it's going to be published on the second because I started writing this to late at night. Bad Lauren.

OH! My friend Ash is a big copycat and decided to get a blog too! He's not as pretty as me but he's pretty funny so here's the link if you're bored, can't sleep, procrastinating, or feel like a little bit of a stalker today. http://kchips.blogspot.com/

I'm watching Bridget Jones' diary now. It's another movie I could watch a million times, but I'm not sure why. I'm also eating Buc-ee's beef jerky which is better than any jerky you can find in Mississippi. Mississippi has better fried chicken though. I'm not really sure how beef jerky and fried chicken relate though.

I also rediscovered Josie and the Pussycats during the break. It's still as awesome as I thought it was and there's a lot of jokes in it that I know I didn't get back then.

I got to see a lot of my grandma during this break which I love. I thought I'd take this time to share a funny story about her. So a couple of years ago we were at a Mexican food restaurant, which we frequented and the owner came by our table to see hoe we liked our food. Me and my mom convinced her to say,"Hola, como estas?" The guy got all excited and started to speak to her in Spanish animatedly, so she just laughed and smiled along with him. When he left the table, I started laughing hysterically and told her that she had just said that she liked his massive balls. My mom was really selling it too. A look of panic spread over her face. She was so worried until I finally told her I was just kidding.

Grandma brought me a puzzle that I think she found somewhere in her house. It has 1000 pieces. So today I dumped it out and started working on it when my mother insisted she come "help" me. My mom is very tense and impatient. She quickly put together a string of six pieces and was bragging about it until I put together the entire top row by myself. She was so competitive that she ended up quitting and leaving me to puzzle by myself. Can puzzle be used as a verb? Well I say it can.

Did everyone have a good holiday season? I have so far. It's been fun and busy. Also, I don't have to do my own laundry at home which I love.

OK my cat is snoring and has his paw over his eyes so that means it's time for me to go to sleep. Comment if yall want and sorry it's been so long.
